Overview

Requirement is BrightMove's default language for a job. Some synonyms are job opening, position, contract, and project.  A Requirement Profile is the summary screen with all of the information associated with a specific job, or requirement.

Parts of the Requirement Profile

Placement Type

Reflects whether the position is a contract, permanent, or internal hire.

Job Title

The name of the job. Some examples are Administrative Assistant, Java Developer, Accountant.

Open Date

The date that a user created the requirement in BrightMove.

Openings

The number of positions that are open with this job description. A recruiter may have five occurrences of the same Customer Service Rep position being open.

Internal Id

The unique identification number that BRIGHTMOVE assigns to each requirement. This is also called the BMID, or BrightMove ID. This is the number that, when put into the subject line of an email, will allow a user to use the email parser to send applicants to a specific requirement.

Client Requirement ID

The ID number that THE BRIGHTMOVE USER assigns to the requirement. If your client sends over openings with requisition numbers or if you have a numbering system of your own, this is the perfect place to record that data.

Status

This describes the state that the requirement occupies in the recruiting process. Some examples are Open, Hot, Closed, and Filled.

Duration

The number of weeks, months, or years that a contract position will last.

Categories

Pre-defined groups that a job falls into. Some examples are accounting, automotive, Biotec, Government, Human Resources, etc.

Recruiter(s)

The recruiter who has been assigned to work on this requirement. There can be more than one recruiter assigned to work on a single requirement.

Contact

The client contact that will be reviewing candidates and then hiring for the requirement.

Location (city, State, Zip)

Where the requirement is located; what city and state the person who fills the requirement will be working in. This is automatically filled in when the requirement is created based on the office address of the contact who owns the requirement.

Other Location

This field is used if the same requirement is open in multiple locations.

Chance to Close

The percent chance that the recruiter has, based internal standards, to fill the requirement. This is a subjective measure.

Submittals

A listing of each candidate that has bee submitted to this requirement or who has applied for the requirement, and the status of that Applicant.

Filters

The screen filter option allows you to hide fields of the Requirement Profile that are unnecessary.

Rates

The minimum and maximum pay rate and bill rate for the requirement. The pay rate is what you will pay the employee. This is applicable to all type of staffing companies as well as HR departments that may use BrightMove. The bill rate is what your company will bill the client company. This is really only applicable for staffing firms.

Pay Rate Card

This section of the Requirement Profile Screen is a table outlining the profit derived from the difference between the bill and pay rates as well as the different employment types that your company has set up. The rate card is generated automatically by BrightMove as long as a bill rate has been entered for the requirement. This feature is useful to staffing companies, because their profit is derived from the difference between the bill and pay rates.

Skills

The required and optional skills for the requirement. The required skills are automatically used as search terms when a search is done from the options menu of the requirement.

Job Descriptions

The internal and public job descriptions for the requirement. The internal Job Description is seen only by Licensed BrightMove users. It is not seen by the candidate. This is a good place to put additional notes about the skills required that you only want recruiters to view. The web description is the one seen by the Applicants who come to your career page looking for a job. This is also the one posted on job boards when the Job distribution Engine is activated.

Job Board Posting

The check list of job boards where the requirement may be posted. If your company has a subscription to a paid board, you can use this feature to post, edit, and delete jobs on that board straight from BrightMove. It eliminates double data entry.

Exams

Any exam that is associated with the requirement. Exams are used to test Applicants on required skills. They can be created easily and then assigned to applicants who need to be screened.
