We want to explain how to create a new career portal from a non-technical side.  Our goal is to help you understand the different parts of setting up a new portal for applicants to apply through.  Career Portals are designed to help connect applicants to BrightMove using your website as the connection.  Ultimately we want it to be seamless from your website to BrightMove so you can custom create a careerportal that will actually have your websites "skin" on it so it will look like they are applying to jobs on your website. Lets get started

Navigating to your Portal

Simply go to Settings>Manage My Company>Select the Portal Tab

This will show you the list of portals you have for your company.  Typically if you are a new client you'll only have one Default portal, however you can create as many as you'd like.

Creating a New Portal

To create a new portal find and select the link that says, "New Portal"

That will open a new portal to customize.

In the top section you have several items and selections you'll want to pay close attention to. See the "Section Descriptions" section below for details on which selections to choose from.

Section Descriptions:
Portal Title:  Type the name of this portal.  If you are using it as a Vendor Portal than you can type the name of the vendor or partner here.
Doc Type:  Your web developer will know what type to select based on your corporate website.
Locale: Pick your locale and if your area is not there then please email support@brightmove.com and ask that your locale be added.
Portal Type:  Public- Post to Internet (Connects to Public Website), Employee- Post to Intranet (Connects to Internal website), None -Post to no where
Status:  Choose Status of portal
Job Apply Template:  Pulls from your list of Email templates that are assigned to Applicants.  This template is for when applicants apply to a job through your career portal.   If none is selected there is a default email that will be used.
Profile Creation Template:  Pulls from your list of Email templates that are assigned to Applicants.  This template is for when applicants create a profile to apply to jobs through your career portal.   If none is selected there is a default email that will be used.
Application Denied Template:  Pulls from your list of Email templates that are assigned to Applicants.  This template is for when applicants fail to meet your basic qualifications.  They will receive a message saying, "Based on the answers that you gave to some of the questions on the job application, we have determined that we can not accept your application at this time.  You can try applying for a different job, or you may want to double check your job application answers to make sure they are all answered correctly and honestly."  You can also select an email template that will get emailed to that applicant by selecting the drop down menu and selecting the correct email template.

Applicant Terms and Conditions

This section is used to put your Terms and Conditions that will show on your career site as part of the process of applying to a job.

Company Portal Response Email and Password

The Company Portal Response Email section is the email address that others will respond to you when emailing you through the portal.
Portal Password:  If populated, this portal will require the user to know this password before accessing the portal.

Portal Filtering

In this section of the set up you can filter your portal to only show certain jobs, states clients and even select specific User Defined Fields. You do this by moving over (from left to right) the items you want to filter.
For instance if you wanted to Filter all jobs with the category of Information Technology move Information Technology from left to right and press submit. Then only jobs with a category of Information Technology will show on this portal.
