The BrightMove Calendar
The Calendar is found under the Planner menu item in the left frame of the BrightMove screen. It gives the user a view of activities performed and scheduled, broken down by day for the current month. It is interactive, meaning that if you click on an activity displayed on the calendar, you will be able to see the details of the activity. It is intended to be a snapshot of activities.
Adding an Actvity to the Calendar
From the Calendar screen
To add an activity from the calendar screen, click on the "Add Activity" link in the upper right corner or click on the time space to open the new activity window. Fill in the activity details, and click the "Submit" button.
You may also go to the Applicant or Contact profile and enter an activity there, and it will be reflected on the calendar.
To enter an activity on an Applicant Profile
If you send an email from within BrightMove, it will be automatically recorded in the Activities section of the applicant profile. To manually enter an activity into your applicant's record, scroll to the activity section of the page. Then, click on the "add activity" link on the top right side of the activity section. The "Create New Activity" screen will be displayed on the left.
Understanding Activities
Choose an activity type from the drop down box on the screen (This list can be customized in Settings under Customization>Activity Type).
The Date and End Date automatically default to the present date and time, but you can change them both if you need to (e.g. many recruiters enter all of the calls they made during the day at the very end of the day).
Spreading Activities- A group of activities can be spread out over several days or week (depending on your date range) by using the spread feature. To learn more about Spreading activities go to Spreading Activities
Future Activity- If you would like to set this activity as a future duplicate activity you can also do that in the "Future Dates and Times" section. Doing this would duplicate this activity and place it at a future date and time on your planner in the future. You can also set the Future Activity type that you'd like to show. For Example a current activity might be "Received Call" and Future Activity may be "Call for Follow-up" but all related to this one activity for this one applicant/candidate. And you've created 2 activities.
Setting Reminders- If you would like to set a reminder for yourself about this activity or to follow up on it, check the "set reminder" box and enter the date you would like your reminder to appear. Then, enter your text describing your activity in the text box. Once you are satisfied with your entry, click the "Submit" key. The activity will be saved in the Activity section of the Applicant Record. If more activities are added they will also be saved, and will be displayed with the most recent activity first.
To enter an activity on a Contact Profile

Editing an Activity
Click on the activity that needs to be edited and the Activity detail screen will be displayed. Click the "Edit" link in the upper right corner of the screen, and then make the appropriate changes. Once the editing is complete, click the Submit button to save the edited activity.
Spreading Activities
The purpose of using the Spread Activities feature would be to spread out a group of activities (lets say Calls to possible candidates) over a certain time frame (3 days).
To set up do the following:
1) Do a basic applicant search
2) Select candidates (Select all or individually) by clicking on the check box to the left of their name.
3) Press Submit and you will see the New Activities Pop up
In this Activities screen you can spread your activities over which ever days you specify and select the "Spread Activities" check box. Doing this will spread the activities evenly over the days specified.
(Once you submit you will receive a confirmation that the Activity Posted:
4) Now go to Planner and view how the Activities are spread out over several days evenly.
5) Now you can do each of these activities by selecting it from your Planner. When you do this it will show that activity to you.
From here you can use the activity and perform the needed action. By clicking on the applicants name at the top it will take you to their profile.
If you click Edit you can then open the activity and "Complete" the activity. (see below)
Press "Submit" to save it.
Now the activity will read as "Completed- Yes"
Rollover Activities
BrightMove allows unfinished activities to roll over to another day.

Rollover activities are meant to bring forward the incomplete activities. To roll over the activities follow the below steps
1) Go to the Planner
2) Select "Activity List" link
3) This will show all of the Activities for this Day.
4) From this view you can:
a) Click on the Activity Date and go into the Activity to Edit/Delete
b) You can click on the name to go into the applicants profile
c) You can select the red "X" and mark the activity as complete.
5) Now select "Show Roll Up"
Then you will be presented with old activities that have not been completed. These can be sorted and selected.
6) To Roll Up one or more activities select the activity by clicking on the check box.
7) Select the "Roll Up Activities" button
You have now rolled up the activities that were previously incomplete in your list of activities.
