The "Search" drop down box lists the parts of the Applicant Profile that are searchable. There are several options in the drop down menu, including Resume, Last Name, First name, Applicant ID, Notes, Activities, and Attachments. To search one of these sections of the applicant record, select it from the drop down menu by highlighting it.

Page Size

The Page Size option provides a drop down menu of choices including 10, 20, 50, and 100. This number corresponds with the number of search results displayed on a search results screen. The default search result size is 20, but by highlighting an alternative size you may increase or decrease then number of results that will appear on the screen.

Boolean Algorithm (AND, OR)

You may use the "And" and "Or" options to refine your serach.  To search for more than one term (for example, you may need to search your resume database for all candidates who have MS Access and MS Office in their resume), the "And" option should be selected. This tells BrightMove to search for all of the search terms. The "Or" option should be chosen to look for just one word in a list of search terms.

For

The "for" field is where search terms are entered. It is literally what words or terms you want to look for.  For example, if you were looking for Plant Managers, you may enter the terms "Plant, Manager" in the "For" field.

In Folder

To look in a certain applicant folder that has been set up in BrightMove, select that folder from the "In Folder"  drop down menu. If no folder is selected, the entire candidate database will be searched.

Sort By

The Sort By option allows the user to sort search results by Score, First name, last name, title, city, state, status, or available date.  The System rpovides you with a drop down listing of each choice.  Highlighting your choice will indocate to the system what the results will be sorted by.

Ascending/Descending

This option allows the user to choose whether they will see the sorted search results in A-Z or Z-A order.
