Overview
A folder in BrightMove is similar to a file folder in an old fashioned cabinet. On your desk, you may have a folder titled "resumes - Daytona" that you fill with paper resumes of people looking for a job who are living in Daytona, Florida. You can create that same folder in BrightMove to store electronic applicant profiles and resumes in.
Finding Applicant Folders
A licensed BrightMove user can navigate to folders from the Dashboard area of the BrightMove application or by going to the left side tool bar and clicking on the plus sign next to "Applicants". From the expanded menu, select the "Folders" option. You should then see the folders that you have created and also the public folders created by your coworkers.
Create a Folder
From the expanded Applicant menu, select the "Folders" option. Click on the "New Folder" link. The "Create Folder" screen will be displayed. You will see an option that says "Folder Name" where you can type in what name you would like to give to your folder. If you would like for other licensed BrightMove users at your company to be able to view this folder and its contents, check the box that says "Shared with Company". If you are using this folder and do not wish to share it, leave this box unchecked. Once you are satisfied with your folder name and shared status, click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the Create Folder box. You will now see your folder listed under "my folders" or "public folders"
Public and Private Folders
A public folder is one that a Licensed BrightMove user creates and shares with the company. Other Licensed users can view the folders and their contents.
A private folder is one that a licensed user creates and does not mark as "Shared with Company". The only person who can see the folder and its contents is the BrightMove user who created it.
Add Candidates to Folder
On the candidate profile page, there is section titled "Applicant Folders" at the bottom of the screen. You should see a drop down menu of all of the folders that you have created and the public folders that other BrightMove users have created and shared with you.
Highlight the folder on the drop down menu that you would like to add the candidate to, and then click on the blue button to the right of the menu that says "send Applicant to Folder". The applicant will now appear in the folder that you chose.
Delete Candidates from Folder
Navigate to the appropriate folder. Click the red "X" to the right of the candidate"s name. When the pop up box appears and says "Remove Applicant?" select "Yes". The applicant will be removed from the folder.
Edit a Folder
You can edit any folder that you have created. Navigate to the folder that you would like to edit. Click the "Edit Folder" link. The "edit Folder" screen will be displayed. You may change the name of the folder or elect to share or not share it with the company.
